Retiring and Moving to Virginia Beach Questions
I have a good friend that is going to retire from NOVA and sell his condo. He is single and likes to go to the beach. He had a broad range of areas he was looking at one hour from Virginia Beach, but now has decided he wants to live within a few miles of the beach. He has picked Virginia Beach because he still wants to be close to long friendships he has made over the years. His price range for a condo is maximum 120k and he feels he can find something lower than that with his recent trip to Virginia Beach this week.
In particular, he like the condos and location of the following:
1. Condo name: Kemps Quarters & Winchester Point - zip 23464
2. Major cross streets: Indian River Road - east of highway 64.
Ferell Parkway
Lynnhaven Parkway
Here are his questions:
1) Is the above area a decent neighborhood to look at? Are there any gotcha's (i.e. traffic) for that area.
2) Do you have any Virginia Beach areas to suggest looking at?
3) Do you know anyone with a condo in VB and are happy with the condo and location?
4) Is there any reason not to go Virginia Beach, but go to other areas? He did some research on Chesapeake.
Thanks,
